Fall in love

Isn't that a great title, I just used it for my sister's bridal shower because she is getting married 10/10/10. Her shower turned out really great.

I really love fall. It is my favorite season. There are so many wonderful things that I just adore about the new fresh season. Let me list them for you....

1. The cooler weather - I have stomach issues and can't be out in the hot weather. It's like sitting a glass of cold milk out in the sun. It's only a matter of time before it becomes spoiled. Now drink that milk, how does your stomach feel now? Exactly!

2. The colors
3. Apple Cider or Pumpkin Spice (Soy) Lattes from Starbucks

4. PUMPKINS - I am a huge pumpkin lover. I love little ones, small ones, orange and white ones. I love them so much that now anytime Gracie sees a pumpkin she gets all excited and yells for me.

5. Brown County - If you don't live in Indiana, then I am sorry. But don't you have a favorite wooded town you just love to pass by because it has so many neat shops with good food and fun all within walking distance. Danny and I are already planning a date night to go and eat and spend some time down there.

6. Sweaters - I love to wake up in the morning, put on a light sweater, open the door, drink my coffee, and just smell the crisp air.

7. My Birthday - It's in October

8. Halloween - I don't like scary things but I do like dressing up. I don't think I have ever missed a year (last year I was the office Sheriff). And now that I have little ones I love dressing them up. For 2 weeks now Gracie, Lilly and I have been looking at my Fall 2010 Halloween Costume magazine. Yes that's right, I get a costume magazine. Don't judge. Well now we are torn between Gracie being Spider Girl with Lilly being a cute and furry Spider or both of them being Minnie or one Minnie and the other Daisy. ( Side note: I still have my Minnie suspenders from when I has about 7 or 8)

Gracie's first Halloween - she was a lady bug

9. Pumpkin Pie - My mother in law makes the best homemade pumpkin pie. It's true. It's so good I even eat the crust, which I never eat.

10. Bonfires - I love to sit outside next to a bonfire, in my sweater, roasting marshmallows. That to me is the perfect end to a perfect fall day.

Are you excited for the Fall season? What is your favorite thing about Autumn ?

Birthday Wish List

My Birthday is approaching. I will be 27 on October 5th, which is a not as scary as turning 25 was. I know, I am still young. But having a hard time realizing how fast my life is flying by. But the hubby just turned 30 and seems to be handling it pretty well...so what's 27! :)

Since the hubby and I are on a plan to pay off all our debt in 2 years and then buy a new house we haven't been spending money. So I am excited for my birthday to come along and to maybe get some of those items I have been eyeing. So here I go.

I am redoing my kitchen and dining room (although I have no time right now) But these are pretty dishes I found that I think would go really great with the "idea" I have in mind. They are at one of my favorite stores, Bed Bath and Beyond. Plus I always have 20% coupons to use.

How cute is the antique flour grinder? It would look nice in my "new" kitchen. It is an item at my favorite etsy shop. The best part, it's only $4.00. http://www.etsy.com/shop/GingersGirl?page=1&order=date_desc

Philosophy Pure Grace Perfumed Body Lotion

This smell is intoxicating for me. I just keep smelling my hands!

A J.C. Penney's Gift Card

I have lost more weight and all of my professional work clothes are now falling off me. Girls at work keep asking me why I don't just buy new pants. Oh if it were only that easy.

I would also love a Charlotte Russe gift card. I can once again fit into their hip teen clothes. See 27 isn't so bad. Plus they have great costume jewelry for cheap cheap.

Last but not least I need new fall candles. My favorite is the Spiced Pumpkin, but while online I found a maple syrup pancake scent. I would really love to have that also. Can't you just smell it now. I would burn it in the morning so the hubby would think I made pancakes only to find out it was just my new candle. Ha ha, that's mean.

Slow down....

So many times in the past I have asked for things to hurry up, my childhood, my high school days, my college days, My engagement!, my pregnancies and so on. but now I am asking for things to slow down. I haven't been able to stop and smell the roses...I haven't even been able to notice the roses. I have so so so much I want to blog about, which I understand may only be important to me, but still I want to blog and can't. I log on really fast to check the most current blogs, check my yahoo and facebook accounts and log off. I see no end in sight b/c once again I have something planned every night for this week. My work schedule for next month and the first two weeks of October is completely full. I can't even catch up on my house work which really needs to be done. My best friend just hired a maid and I am so jealous. She gets a maid every Saturday morning for 5 hours. Ugh! Well she does deserve it, she is 10 weeks pregnant and has been really sick lately. :) Ok well Maybe soon I will find time to update my blog. My next blog will be about either my favorite things or my birthday wish list. Either way, I will have fun.

Till next time

xoxo

It's Fair Time

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to visit fairs. Our County Fair is always in July, right after the Hubby's birthday. I seriously start counting down till fair time in May. I love the food, seeing old friends, taking the girls to see all the animals and people watching. And this year my niece entered a couple of drawings, which she won awards for, so we also enjoyed seeing that.

We let Gracie play a couple of games. Lilly just watched.

she wasn't so good at this one, but when she played the next game she won...

"woofie"
She was in love with this dog right away.

Danny got the typical fish sandwich with cole slaw and baked beans

I got a rib eye sandwich and a delicious piece of corn. It was so good that I couldn't even put it down to take a picture of. So that's why you see just the cob. I seriously think that the Johnson County fair has the best corn. But hey, there is more than corn in Indiana. :)
Can't forget Danny's funnel cake, which let's face it, one of the reason's why we all go to the fair. It was good, I usually like toppings on mine but he wanted it plain. It was still good.
Can't wait to report back from the State Fair. We are going on Tuesday and I am so excited. I really want to try the Garbage burger, the fried butter and maybe even the Krispy Kreme Doughnut burger.
Wow, now that I think about all the fried food I have been eating, I really need to start exercising! Can't wait to eat my 0 point soup all week long! haha
