So in love....

I have been away from the blog world for a hot second or a few weeks but life just gets busy and sometimes I just am not motivated to put my thoughts into words and sentences and to add pretty pictures. So today I am going to make it easy on myself but share with you a little bit of my world. I want to show you some things I am in love with. Now that it is Spring here in Indiana (although today it is a blistery 39 degrees but just yesterday it was warm and 70. Stupid Indiana weather. oh well.) Now that it is Spring....I am in a much better mood and feeling "in-love" Here are some of my loves...

My handsome husband

My girls

This girl (Lilly) so sweet and innocent and now ready for Kindergarten

My $10 flea market find includes a bowling ball that fits me perfect. Bowled a 130

My new friend Ashley. She has been such a blessing to me at work. We clicked almost immediately and are so much alike.

Pad Thai! Love it, want to only it Pad Thai items! Seriously it's that good. I just stay away from curry.

This FABULOUS lady, my mom, who turns 50 tomorrow.
I know, we can't believe it either. She gets prettier and younger looking every year. Sure hopes she passes that down to me

I am addicted to Candy Crush. I was stuck on level 23 for 3 days but finally beat it yesterday and emailed my mom right away b/c I knew only she would be just as happy as I was. She was been stuck on level 29 for a few days now. Danny asked me how many levels there were and I said over 100. His reply was, well that's just worthless then. lol

Working out. We have a gym at our Corp. building. I have gone each day this week. Getting in shape for my vacation in just a few weeks.

Dreaming of our vacation spot and knowing we will be there soon.

Craving Lemon Bars and making them tonight. Yummy!

My new favorite show. My husband and I totally jumped on the bandwagon and haven't looked back. Love it and love them. I crack up randomly just thinking about what Si or Jase said on the latest episode. Love when I find someone who also loves the show! I get so tickled.

Gigi's gifts

One thing I love about my mom is that she is a very generous person. She loves to buy people little gifts. If she sees something and it reminds her of you, she will most likely buy it for you. She has really been getting into the whole thrift/vintage/flea market shopping. With in the last two weeks she has founds some fabulous fines.

This first one is a Tupperware colander/strainer. It is the bigger version of what we used growing up. She still uses her small yellow colander to this day. Now my girls and I will get to use one too. Imagine of all the mac & cheese we could make! lol

The next item is a beautiful large Pyrex bowl. My strawberry spinach salad would look beautiful in it.

The last item is a small divided Tupperware container. It will be just perfect for my lunches.

Thanks mommy for all you do. I love that you love what I love! :) lol
Here's to more shopping and finding fabulous finds for cheap cheap cheap.

Look at my finds!

Hello everyone! I am so super happy and have to share my wonderful news or finds with you. One of my blog friends posted this link on her blog. http://www.estatesales.net/ It is an estate finder website. You click on your state then enter your city. It will find the closet estate sells to you.

So I checked it out and found there was one just 20 minuets away from my work. Since I can take up to an hour lunch I figured why not. As soon as I walked into the door just to my left I found exactly what I wanted.
Isn't it beautiful? I don't yet know where I am going to put it but I am thinking in my Dinning room where I am redecorating it in black and white.

These following items I found for $.25-$.75 So I couldn't resist.

As I was waiting for the estate team to ring me up I took one last look around the house and I found this awesome piece just hanging in the kitchen.

I have always wanted a spice rack. Since my hubby and I are redoing our kitchen we will repaint this and hang it on one of our walls. Can't wait to post pictures of that. Although it will be another month or so. Too busy right now with finishing up school and too many Birthdays. Like the big 2 for Lilly or the big 30 for my handsome hubby.

a great end to the day...

On Friday afternoon, after a long exhausting week, I came home to find two great treasures on my front porch. I was so excited by seeing the small 8x11 package in the mailbox that I almost missed the big bread stick box sitting on my door step. Last week I had made two purchases. One was for my mother. I can't show any pictures b/c a) it's for her birthday and b) she reads my blog ( like a good mother :) ) So I promise I will post pictures after Saturday. It's so neat, I know she will love it.

The other purchase was for myself. There is this great etsy shop called ginger's girl ( www.etsy.com/shop/GingersGirl ) . She has the neatest vintage items. She too is a fan of American pickers and has quite an eye for vintage pieces. Check out these awesome vintage canisters I got for my kitchen. Can't wait to put them to good use.
